The Power Estimator is how we size every event today — and we're building it into a tool Event Managers and Production teams will be able to use directly, to plan and budget power before a single diesel generator gets booked. Here's a walkthrough of how it works, end to end.
Event Setup
It starts with the essentials: venue, city, event type, indoor or outdoor, event dates, show run-time per day, and setup day and hours. If the venue offers house power, that's captured too — it nets against the estimate later. This becomes the foundation everything downstream is sized against.

Load Builder
Next, the equipment list. Search SmartBatt's catalogue — hundreds of items with peak wattage already on file, sound to LED walls to broadcast gear — or upload a spreadsheet gear list and let the system extract and match items automatically. Anything custom can be added by hand, including LED walls sized straight from width, height, and pixel pitch.

Power Analysis
With the equipment list built, the system computes total peak power draw and recommends DG sizing to match — including splitting equipment across separate generators when combined load crosses the threshold where that's standard practice, to avoid interference between circuits. A full circuit-by-circuit breakdown backs up every number.
