SmartBatt Energy Solutions

The Tech Behind The Batteries

Not just battery hardware.A full energy operations platform.

Every SmartBatt unit is connected the moment it's deployed — feeding live data into a purpose-built software platform that our operations team, our clients, and our partners all use every day. Here's what runs behind the scenes.

How Data Moves Through the Platform

No manual readings, no site visits required to know what's happening. The system does the watching, so our team can do the responding.

01

The Unit Reports In

Every deployed battery and inverter continuously reports its state of charge, load, and health to the cloud — automatically, with no on-site technician needed.

02

The Platform Processes It

Readings are captured minute by minute, checked against safe operating thresholds, and turned into alerts, live dashboards, and historical records.

03

The Right People See It

Ops staff, the client on site, and — where relevant — the asset owner or channel partner each see exactly the slice of data that's theirs, on web or mobile.

Live Fleet Monitoring

Charge, load, and status for every unit, fleet-wide.

Deployment Management

Every booking tracked, enquiry through completion.

Usage Analytics & Reports

Runtime, cycles, and faults, captured automatically.

Role-Based Portals

Ops, client, asset owner, and partner — each sees their own.

Client-Facing · From Booking to Event Day

The Client Portal

A booking starts online, not with a phone call. Clients submit their event details — dates, site, and power requirement — and either browse and reserve specific available units or describe what they need powered and let our team recommend the right setup. Once a unit is on site and switched on, that same login shows exactly how it's performing: live charge level, current load, and how much runtime is left, updated continuously through the event.

  • • Submit event details and reserve units online, no back-and-forth calls
  • • Live charge, load, and runtime for the active deployment
  • • Full deployment history, always available

Secured, Tiered Access

Access, Billing & Reporting

Not every login needs to see everything. A senior Event Management or Production contact — the account Owner — can invite their own Technical team as Operators, who can view live data and send device commands, and their on-ground Ops team as Viewers, scoped to just the deployment they're working that day. Everyone tracks the same unit from wherever they sit, at the access level that's right for their role.

Invoices, payment status, and UPI payment details are all visible and downloadable from the same portal — and once an event wraps, clients can request a deployment report covering total power delivered, diesel saved, and CO₂ avoided against the generator they would otherwise have run.

  • • Owner/Manager, Operator, and Viewer roles, scoped by deployment
  • • Invoices, payment status, and UPI details, all online
  • • On-request reports: power usage, diesel savings, carbon offset

Down to the Minute

Power Profile & Detailed Analysis

From the moment a unit powers on to the moment it powers down, the platform logs a full Power Profile — charge level, battery voltage and power, grid draw, and load delivered — once every minute, for the entire length of the deployment. A single-day wedding generates over a thousand data points; a multi-week construction site, tens of thousands. Nothing about how the power was actually used is left to memory afterward, and the full profile is archived permanently for every deployment.

Alongside it runs a second, more granular layer — Detailed Analysis, covering close to 20 electrical parameters per unit: phase-wise voltage and current on both the grid side and the load side, battery voltage and current, battery and inverter temperature, and grid and output frequency, kept for a rolling 10-day window. This is the data that lets our team spot a phase imbalance, a temperature climbing toward a fault threshold, or a frequency deviation early — and act on it before it interrupts anyone's event.

Internal Tool

The Operations Console

Everything above is fed and kept honest by our internal Operations Console — the screen our team runs the entire fleet from. How many units are online, which ones need attention, and what's booked across every active and upcoming deployment, all in one place. When a unit's charge runs low or drops offline mid-event, ops sees it the moment it happens, not the next morning.

The Power Estimator

Right now, sizing an event's power correctly takes our team's judgment and a spreadsheet. We're turning that into a proper tool — one built on real consumption data from dozens of past deployments, not rule-of-thumb guessing — so Event Managers and Production teams can get an accurate power estimate before they book, and budget confidently instead of over-ordering a diesel generator "just in case."

On The Go

Monitoring in Your Pocket

Our field team doesn't need a laptop to check on a unit at 2am. The SmartBatt mobile app gives our operations staff live status, remote control, and fault alerts for their assigned units, right from their phone — built for real conditions on real sites across India.

  • • Live status and remote control from the field
  • • Push visibility into faults as they happen
  • • Built mobile-first for low-connectivity site conditions

Built to Be Trusted

A monitoring platform is only useful if the data and access behind it are handled properly. A few of the principles we build to:

Strict Data Separation

Clients, asset owners, and channel partners each see only their own data — enforced at the database level, not just hidden in the interface.

Continuous, Not Periodic

Fleet data refreshes minute by minute rather than on a fixed daily check-in, so problems on site surface immediately, not the next morning.

Records That Outlast the Deployment

Power Profiles are archived automatically once a deployment ends, so reporting doesn't depend on anyone remembering to save it.

Built for Indian Field Conditions

Every portal is designed mobile-first, with graceful degradation when a site has patchy connectivity — because that's the reality of where we deploy.

We're happy to walk you through the client portal, the console, or the mobile app before your next deployment.
